Camden Vintage E27 Outdoor Wall Lantern
Period houses are unforgiving about lighting. A modern sealed unit on an old brick or stone wall reads as a repair rather than a fitting, which is why the Camden keeps the traditional lantern silhouette: a bracket arm, a glazed body and a pitched cap. It suits porches, gateposts, coach house doors and courtyards, and it looks equally correct on a new build aiming for a period character.
The E27 holder is the practical advantage over an integrated fixture. You choose the lamp, which means you choose the brightness and the colour temperature, and a warm filament-style bulb behind the glazing gives exactly the soft amber light the form is asking for. When it eventually fails you replace a bulb from any hardware shop rather than the whole fitting, which is a meaningful difference over a decade outdoors.
The body is finished and sealed for exterior use, with glazing set into the frame to keep driven rain off the holder. Mount it at a height where the glow falls across a doorway and the step below it. Exterior mains wiring should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the lamp fitted should be rated for enclosed outdoor use rather than a bare decorative bulb intended for an indoor pendant. It joins the rest of the Veyra Home outdoor lighting range.
