MealMate 4-Compartment Bento Lunch Box

The MealMate is built around that layout, and the dividers are part of the tray rather than loose inserts that go missing in a drawer within a fortnight.

The lid seals along a continuous gasket and pulls down under side clasps, which is what keeps dressing, yoghurt and sauce inside when the box travels on its side in a bag. Utensils clip into the lid so they arrive with the meal. The base is microwave safe with the lid off and goes on the top rack of a dishwasher at the end of the day.

It is sized for a proper adult lunch, which makes it as useful for a week of batch cooking as for a single packed meal. Where a child is heating their own food, an adult should handle the microwave and check the temperature first, since contents warm unevenly and hot spots are easy to miss.
