Scandinavian exterior lighting is built around long dark winters, and it shows in the priorities: a warm light, a shape that survives weather, and no decoration that will look dated in ten years. This lamp follows that thinking exactly. The form is a plain aluminium cylinder with a clean shoulder and no visible fixings, made to look correct on a modern house and unobtrusive on an older one.

Aluminium is the right material for a wall that gets wet. It sheds heat from the LED, resists corrosion in a way that steel does not, and takes a powder-coat finish that holds its colour through years of sun and rain. The body is sealed against driven rain, and the light is directed rather than scattered, so it lands on the wall and the ground below without glaring back at anyone approaching.

Two sizes are available, which is useful in practice: the smaller suits a doorway or a passage, the larger holds its own on a broad facade or between tall windows where a small fitting would look lost.
