Bauhaus Eclipse Gold Wall Lamp

The eclipse form is two discs set against each other, one partly covering the other, so the light escapes around a curved edge rather than out of an opening. That is a Bauhaus idea in the truest sense: the shape and the function are the same decision, and there is no decoration added afterwards to explain what the fitting is meant to be.

In practice the concealed source is what makes it comfortable to live with. Nothing bright is ever directly visible, so the fitting can be mounted at eye level in a hallway or beside a bed without glare, and the light arrives as a crescent on the wall rather than a hot spot. The gold finish warms that reflected light rather than simply decorating the outside of the disc.

Two sizes are offered, which allows a small one beside a bed and a larger one as a feature on a stairwell or a broad wall. The LED is integrated and long-life, so nothing needs unscrewing at height later. Fix into solid structure or use fixings rated for plasterboard, and have the mains connection made by a qualified electrician. It joins the rest of the Veyra Home wall light range.
