Striped Canvas Double Hammock
A double hammock is wide enough to lie across diagonally, which is the trick that turns a hammock from a banana-shaped novelty into something you can genuinely sleep in. Lying at an angle flattens the sag and lets your back rest straight rather than folded. This one is cut generously in a heavy striped canvas, a cloth that breathes in heat and holds its shape rather than stretching into a hollow over a season.
The ends are gathered and whipped into a strong bunch so the load spreads across every thread rather than pulling on a few, and the whole thing packs down into a carry bag small enough for a rucksack. Hang it between two trees at a campsite, across a garden between solid posts, from a frame on a balcony, or indoors from properly rated fixings in structural timber.
Check what you are hanging from before you get in, every single time. Anchor only to sound structural points rated well above the combined weight of the occupants, keep the hang low enough that a fall is short, and inspect the ropes and gathered ends for wear before each use. Do not leave children in a hammock unsupervised, and keep it clear of fire pits and barbecues. Part of the Veyra Home hammock range.
